As a child, Shiki was taken in as an apprentice by monster hunter Gurelli. Years later, after Gurelli's death, Shiki returns to his former master's town Akamaya looking to join a monster hunter's guild. There he meets Ailee, Gurelli's daughter. Shiki partners up with Ailee to take up Gurelli's life-long goal of hunting down the legendary monster Myo Galuna.
