well, my "simple" definitions:

- body pillow: long pillow (over 1.5m long), good for people who sleep on their side, found in bed. also called hug-pillow/dakimakura.

nowadays, body pillows can have anime characters on them making them collectable items...
i use mine like i would use a wallscroll... displayed on the wall... (i only get the cover). i do the same for bed covers and blankets by the way...
i have seen various other people do the same...

i guess you could do a search on Google if you really want more details.

Awwww they're really cute! I want one! And a cool idea to display them on the wall. How much do the covers cost?

And yet, there will always be something slighty sinister about them after reading this...

i particularly like how the bed cover looks on my wall !! so big !!

and yes, the good ones cost over $200...
you can get "cheaper" ones from magazines (less than $100)... but the quality is lower of course...

and yes, the good ones cost over $200...
you can get "cheaper" ones from magazines (less than $100)... but the quality is lower of course...

If it's that big though, it's probably worth the cost. And if it's still around 100 dollars for a low quality one, I may as well fork out for a good one. Where did you get yours from, do you reccommend any places in particular?

the bed cover is about 1.8x1.5m? don't remember the exact size, you can probably check on the particular model you want...

as for the actual quality... i will say it really depends on the maker? i have seen some really good magazine version...
but yes, generally i agree, i would rather pay the price for the better one.

Body pillow nowadays can often be found in 2 quality: smooth or standard.
Depending on your own preference and use, i would recommend getting one or the other type (it actually makes a difference).
Smooth feels better but is harder to display.
Standard has a harder material so doesn't feel as good to the touch (on your face) but is so much easier to hang on your wall.
(this is from my personal experience of course)

i get mine from GNC of course...
in terms of maker, i generally like Cospa but there are other good companies. just be careful of fakes as there are plenty out there...
i just found a website full of them (fakes) yesterday, really nice pictures but so obviously fakes...
