The new printing equipment is in, so our colour handling ability has improved dramatically.

As an odd side-effect the printer is also able to handle bastardized files that the other printer wouldn't touch with a barge pole. This is, ultimately, better for you as it means it'll print out things 90% of the time with no adjustment required.

Additional features include requiring 50% less heat to print a colour page. For you this means that we can now handle a wider range of paper for double sided colour prints. Prior to this there were numerous issues with certain paper thickness's and printing colour on both sides, mainly due to page curl and wrinkling [which would delay your delivery].

Generally the printing requirements remain the same, but I should be able to get your work to you quicker now [also, some render artefact issues are now completely gone, you should get perfect prints every-time with large colour posters now].

Prices also remain the same.

Just a quick reminder, I am still taking new print jobs until the end of this month [June].

If you will be delayed, you must make sure you arrange the time at which I will receive your work.

I cannot take prearranged delayed jobs beyond the 15th of July. Additionally, the longer your delay time, the longer it will take me to get your work to you.

I will be at the next artist meeting as well, so if you want to make arrangements then, please do so. meanwhile I'll be enjoying the art people are showing there + checking out the art-books that people bring.

Is it okay to arrange a time when I can hand it in to you at the artist meet on Saturday?

but it'll be the same as per last year (ie. stapled bind + trimming, only)
is it okay to get them to you after that weekend? (after 3/4 july)

Thanks.

Artist meet, 3 and 4th July all are fine.

Arkillian, I need to do some checking on that, I'm currently wading through laptops for a staff rollover [the once every three years kind], and its an absolute nightmare. I suspect I will be able to get it, but give me a couple of days to confirm that.

I've just checked the paper situation, and its bad news I'm afraid; Konica Minolta stopped stocking the translucent paper types [plus seems to have done the same to some of the marble range, probably lack of demand.]

Now, there are a couple of things you can do:

You could use Ice [ it's a metallic ], but it is not translucent.

Another supplier of paper may have it, but that might be an expensive option; especially if you have to get it from Gordon Harris as an example.

From next year I will not be accepting late jobs. The cut-off point will be the end of the month before the event.

With all jobs having appeared late (combined with a seriously heavy working week), and paper supply issues due to people not getting their orders in, I simply am not going to provide the late service from next year.

To put it in perspective 90% of the jobs have been during this week and the prior week. This is not sustainable, and I have had severe paper supply issues as a result [Today, Tuesday, I am finally getting paper.]

Apologies to you who need this, but it has been abused to the point of absurdity this year.

You have twelve months until the next event, plan and use your time wisely.
