Hello all,
This was an excellent event, and although the accurate numbers are not fully in we had close to 900 people through the doors.
However, I forgot to bring my camera in this case, so post your photos here
I keep and archive of photos at nuke-bloodaxe.org for each year, if you don't mind, please say if you would allow me to add your photos to the 2010 gallery. I'll only do it with your permission.
Do not forget the name change of the event from "Doujin Overload" to "Overload" from next year. I was quite amazed the Hyatt managed to spell it correctly for the first time as well...
Wish everyone the best of luck with next years event |

Hey guys, well done to the organisers for such an awesome event
It exploded this year, I can't believe the transformation from a few years ago. Seong must be so happy... and exhausted. He was so cute running around yesterday...
Some amazing artwork out there too, nice work everyone |

First time I've been to a convention of any sort, and it was great! I couldn't stick around and have a decent look at everything but I managed to at least glance at every artists table and spent about $200 on stuff
I noticed that one of the things I bought had a small sticker on the back with the artists name and website. Man I wish they all did that, because I have no idea how to find the websites of the artists of most of the items I bought.
No camera = No pictures from me, but I look forward to seeing the pictures that others may have taken |

$200? XD That's alot of money! I had mine written at the back of the book in the credits. I'm glad I did that now because I forgot my business cards >.> Lol- and the one time I get up and walk around, the important people wander up to the desk and talk to us XD Oh well, Now that I am NOT sleep deprived (cause I was a zombie at the con), I feel alot better about my efforts at the con
I didn't manage photos cause I was so tired. I wish I did cause there's nothing of my outfit and freshly coloured red hair T.T I didn't bring the dool I was dressed up as either. Ha! Maybe next time I'll come better prepared |

I wish there was more Aside from Nani who I was automatically buying her comic before the con, I saw only one other comic at the con, and it was primarily an art book so I was a bit put off
I was asked why I didn't have a comic this year, and it's basically cause I didn't have time to make one with the art book deadlines that I already pushed Nuke's time resources (and his printer capabilities) to it's limit. Next year I promise to have a comic, even if it's short, or if I have to sacrifice an art book to make it. I much prefer to sell them I' not a fan of making prints of my art and I know it was missed. Alot of people have told me stories of how much they loved my last comic. |

Oh, but 'Overload' doesn't make much sense by itself.
You could call it Vocaload. |

This is true. There was a thick and fast fandom of Vocaloid there. I only got was Vocaloid was AFTER the con when Nani explained it to me ^^; I guess it's the new hetalia
Oh- and I lie- there was another comic besides the two I mentioned. There was Kayla's Art School Sub Rosa! How could I forget the comic that I've been waiting for so long to buy?! I guess it's cause it was a given in my head that it'd be there. I prebooked a copy as soon as she announced she'd print it ^^ I love that comic It's filled with so much Shojo goodness ^^ |

I did a blog entry of the day, if you ignore the text it's mainly photos: http://chama.livejournal.com/20120.html
Doujin Overload is quite misleading since at first I thought it would have loads of doujinshi but I also agree that even by changing it to just Overload doesn't really say much of the event. At least with doujin it has a reference to anime/manga. But I don't really mind either way as long as it's still going for the next years. |

It started off with alot, but I think people got lazy because it doesn't sell as easy >.> There is a few consistent Doujin artists there. Akira666 is normally there with Day and Night, but she wasn't there this year, Godevildante usually has a budjinshi, but she wasn't there this year, and Hiyakustudios has had them in the past but not this year. I've sold some in the past too, but I couldn't manage and art book AND a comic this year so I think it's almost my first year without a comic. I guess it was bad timing this year for it. I wish there were more comics thoguh >.> I normally try to support NZ comic artists. I was a little broke this year thoguh. And VERY tired T.T |

Now hang on you guys- that's not fair If you want to give SERIOUS suggestions, then sure. Trolling is not cool Specially so soon after the event. Let people keep positive memories of the event. |

Nice decent panorama shot.

I was mainly on the look out for artbooks and stories on the day, my walls have only so much space for posters but my bookshelf has plenty of room for more artbooks and manga/comics. =| |
